…uh, I beg to differ Jade.
So this episode was the recap ep for the cycle. We already know what did happen and who was eliminated, so all I’m interested in are the never-before-seen clips. And they have to be very good if I’m going to edit and post them here.
The casting ep didn’t have much to show us other than Jay Manuel talking about facial expressions. I’m guessing Whitney failed at this class.
Stacy-Ann not only gave Jay a lap dance, but also sang a song about her fierce lips.
Episode 2 saw the girls move into their new digs. Some were glad there was a bidet. Poor Kimberly didn’t know how to prepare hot chocolate. That’s not a kettle dear, it’s a coffee pot.
When the girls went to Paulina for some cosmetic criticisms, we didn’t see Claire and Fatima’s critiques. I think we all agreed that when we first saw images of Claire, we were all thinking the same thing Paulina was.
Fatima was once again compared to Iman, but a more manic version.
In Episode 3, Allison proved once again why she’s crazy. She ate strawberry Jell-O covered in A1 Steak Sauce. That’s one of the nastiest sounding combinations. I don’t even think Paula Deen would stick the two together. And you know the girl loves both. Claire drank some of her breast milk, but managed not to cry over her spilled milk. Then again, Tyra wouldn’t approve of being a robot on the outside, now would she?
Dominique talked about how she wants to be like a diva Mother Theresa. Well, she’s half-way there since she looks like an 85 year old woman.
Episode 4, highlights the eccentric nature of Amis. There were reports on the web about how ANTM left the current house in a mess when they left. Hard to believe until I saw this clip.
Even though Amis and Marvita were eliminated, they have a backup plan.
I always knew that Amis was one with nature.
Amis, what’s your take on homosexuality?
Good to know. Say, any last words?
We also got to see another side of Marvita. A side that the girls in the house got to know very well, especially Stacy-Ann.
Even Amis got in on the action by… actually, I’m going to let Toccara take care of this one.
Yeah, they did.
When the girls got a lesson in runway from Miss J at the firehouse, the firefighters showed off their own fierce runway skills as well. Afterwards, the girls went to dinner and brought the intensity home.
Round 1: Lauren vs. Marvita – FIGHT!

Round 2: Claire vs. Dominique – FIGHT!
Loser: Amis
Amis got eliminated at panel, but the real story is her goodbye video. We find out she can’t even leave the show gracefully. Wait, is that CPK in your bag?
Episode 5 is all about posing. But first, we have Marvita the masseuse releasing the tension in the backs of all of the girls. The posing challenge actually extended with the girls facing off against the House of Ninja. Fatima continued to pose at home.
Seeing that Fatima had a camera with her, Anya took it upon herself to become an amateur photographer.
As winners of the challenge, Marvita and some of the other girls got to choose swag to take home with them. Marvita chose a guitar as one of her gifts. And now performing ANTM Unplugged on what is probably one of the ugliest guitars ever, is Marvita.
In Episode 6, we missed seeing Whitney’s baking skills. She mentions how she wants to change the entire face of the fashion industry as a plus-size model. I hope that starts with her glasses.
After the fight between Lauren and Fatima in Episode 7, the girls let off some steam by going clubbing. Back in the car, Stacy-Ann revealed how she was going to bring the party home.
Next week’s new ep looks to be promising, what with Fatima cutting of Lauren’s finger for hiding her passport and all.
